Man Threatened, Pointed BB Gun At Juveniles Riding E-Bikes: North Haven PD
Police responded to a report of a man making threats and pointing a gun at juveniles riding e-bikes in the area, according to officials.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A 60-year-old man was arrested Monday after police said he was threatening and pointing a BB gun at juveniles riding e-bikes in North Haven.
Officers responded to Spring Road on the report of an adult male making threats and pointing a firearm toward juveniles riding e-bikes in the area, according to police.
Police said officers quickly located the man and “safely disarmed him without incident.”

The suspect was identified as Gaylen Thibodeau of North Haven, according to police.
Police said Thibodeau was detained and placed in handcuffs.

The reported weapon was determined to be a BB gun loaded with .177 caliber BBs, according to police.
Thibodeau was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment, breach of peace, illegal use of a facsimile firearm, and threatening. He was held in lieu of a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned at a later date, according to police.
“Thanks to the clear information provided to our officers by North Haven Police Dispatch, along with Officers’ quick and coordinated response, this situation was safely brought under control with no injuries reported,” police wrote in a news release. “We’re proud of the professionalism shown and grateful everyone involved remained safe.”
