Obituary: Arthur N. Sandella Sr. (Porto Funeral Homes)

Arthur N. “Artie” Sandella Sr., 68, of East Haven, formerly of West Haven, beloved husband of Laura Fraulo Sandella, passed away on April 11, 2026 surrounded by his family at his home. Loving father of Arthur N. (Alyson Canestri) Sandella Jr. of East Haven, Joseph (Elaina) Fraulo Jr. and Vincent (Jessica) Fraulo all of Durham. Brother of Mary Ellen (Frank) Marciano of Wallingford and the late Donna Nuzzo and Albert Sandella Jr. Grandfather of Greyson Sandella, Joseph Fraulo III and Santino, Vincent and Nico Fraulo. Artie was born in New Haven on October 14, 1957 son of the late Albert and Mary Franco Sandella Sr. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a mechanic with the Greater New Haven Water Pollution Control Authority. Artie cherished his five grandsons and found great joy in singing. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Family and friends are invited to a parlor service with military honors in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven FRIDAY evening, April 17, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Inurnment will be private.
