Zenia M. MacDougall Lockwood, 81, of West Haven, beloved wife of the late Ronald Lockwood, passed away on September 4, 2026 at Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center. Loving mother of Randy S. Lockwood of Sandy Hook. Cherished grandmother of Jackson and Adriana Lockwood, who brought immeasurable happiness and pride to her heart. Sister of Joan (Fred) Senerchia of West Haven, Danny (Clarita) MacDougall of Stamford and the late BettyAnn Hogan and Alan, Gordon and Robert MacDougall. Zenia was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada on July 19, 1945 daughter of the late George and Evelyn Smith MacDougall.
Zenia Lockwood was one of the kindest and most gentle souls you could ever meet. She loved life deeply and shared that love with everyone she encountered. Her unwavering faith guided her throughout her life and allowed her to bring comfort, kindness, and joy to so many people. One of seven children, Zenia was a loving and devoted sister. Although she had many accomplishments throughout her life, nothing meant more to her than being a mother and grandmother. Zenia will be remembered for her beautiful spirit, her strong faith, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. She touched countless lives and will be deeply loved, greatly missed, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew her.
Prior to her retirement, Zenia was employed as a receptionist by Richard Carpenos, where she was known for her warm and welcoming nature.

Family and friends are invited to a parlor service on WEDNESDAY morning, September 16, 2026, in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call WEDNESDAY morning from 8:30 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
