Manresa Wilds of Norwalk CT
Presentation by Alex Muñiz
For nearly 75 years, this 125-acre stretch of Norwalk’s waterfront has been closed to the public - a post-industrial site left by the fossil fuel industry. Now, it’s becoming Manresa Wilds: a publicly accessible park with restored forests and coastal ecologies, nearly two miles of reopened shoreline, and year-round spaces for gathering, learning, and play. What was once the source of energy for the region, the Power Plant is getting a radical second life as a community hub designed for learning and discovery! Plan to attend to hear this amazing, ongoing story!
