Man Sold Drugs From Car, Given $900,000 Bond: Norwalk Police
Police said they seized cocaine, crack cocaine and cash.
NORWALK, CT — A Derby resident has been given a bond of $900,000 bond after a narcotics investigation, police said.
On April 7, members of the Norwalk Police Department Special Services Division arrested Dion James following an extensive investigation into narcotics distribution within the greater Norwalk area, police said.
The investigation began in January 2026 after investigators received a complaint regarding a male selling narcotics from his gray Mazda SUV, police said.

Through various investigative techniques, officers identified the suspect as Dion James, police said.
Investigators successfully developed probable cause and secured five active arrest warrants for James, police said. James was taken into custody earlier today at Stamford Superior Court.

Following his arrest, officers executed a search and seizure warrant on his vehicle. During the search, officers located the following narcotics in the center console:• 1.31 grams of crack cocaine• 2.73 grams of cocaine, police said. Officers also seized $1,095. In addition to the five existing arrest warrants, Dion James was subsequently charged in connection with the narcotics found in his vehicle, police said.
James, 41, of Anson Street in Derby is charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance, and five counts of sale of narcotics.
