Road, Sidewalk Closure Announced In Norwalk: City

A portion of a road in Norwalk will be closed this week, according to the city.

NORWALK, CT — A portion of a road in Norwalk will be closed Wednesday, as well as for an extended period beginning later this week, according to the city.

In a Facebook post Tuesday, the city announced N. Water Street will be closed between Washington and Marshall streets through Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The sidewalk will be maintained and the parking lot will be open, according to the city.

The road will also be closed between Washington and Marshall streets beginning Friday, Oct. 9, at noon through Oct. 14 at noon, according to the city.

Sidewalks will be closed during this period of time, however the sidewalk in front of the Iron Works complex will be "maintained for business customers only - no through pedestrians," according to the city.

The city also noted there will be no impacts to marine users, however the WALK Bridge will not be opening Friday through Sunday.
