Stew Leonard's Announces 2026 Halloween Events In Norwalk: PHOTOS

NORWALK, CT — Stew Leonard's has announced a list of fun activities families can look forward to during the weeks leading up to Halloween.

The company typically sets up seasonal autumn and Halloween decorations at its stores, which includes Connecticut locations in Norwalk, Danbury and Newington.

A number of decorations, including inflatable pumpkins, scarecrows and ghosts, could be seen Thursday afternoon outside the Norwalk store, located at 100 Westport Avenue.

The store has also set up a Halloween walk through that Norwalk families can experience through Oct. 31, according to Stew Leonard's Spokesperson Meghan Bell.

"It's a family-friendly stroll set up in the Stew Leonard's pumpkin patch," Bell said in an email to Patch, "and it features inflatable Halloween cartoon characters and spooky, but not scary, things like jack-o-lanterns, spiders and ghosts."

The store also recently announced its Halloween events calendar for October, which includes a "pumpkin palooza," a "spooktacular" costume breakfast and trick-or-treating with the store's characters, according to additional press materials provided by Stew Leonard's.

"Halloween is a great time for families to make memories at Stew's—picking out pumpkins, getting pumpkin soft serve and looking forward to the trick-or-treat events," Bell said. "and while we make apple cider donuts all year long in Bethy's Bakery here at the store, they honestly just taste better when there's a crisp breeze in the air and the leaves are changing."

The following upcoming Halloween events in Norwalk were recently announced by Stew Leonard's:

Pumpkin Palooza

Oct. 10-12, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Stew's garden shop is bursting with local pumpkins! Those who purchase a pumpkin at Stew's in Norwalk on Oct. 10, 11 or 12 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. are invited to a complimentary pumpkin painting event outdoors under the garden shop's tent. No advance registration is necessary.

Stew's Spooktacular Costume Breakfast

Oct. 24, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Adults and children ages 12 and over are $21.99 each, children aged 11 and younger are $17.99 each.

Join the team at Stew Leonard's in Norwalk for a "spooktacular" costume breakfast hosted by our costumed characters and their friends! Stew Leonard's culinary team will offer a buffet-style breakfast including pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, fruit, juice and coffee. Limited spots are available. Kids of all ages are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Trick or Treat with Stew Leonard's Characters

Oct. 27, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Ages 8 and younger.

Children ages 8 and younger are invited to dress in their costumes and come to Stew Leonard's in Norwalk to go trick-or-treating. Bags will be provided for children to collect their candy as they visit trick-or-treating stations throughout the store. Stew Leonard's famous characters, including mascot Wow the Cow, will be available for taking photos with children. This event is free, however parents are kindly asked to register in advance.

Halloween Day

Oct. 31, 2026

All kids under age 12 who wear their Halloween costume to Stew Leonard's on Saturday, October 31, 2026, will receive a free small ice cream cone at our ice cream parlor.

To register for all events, including those with paid tickets as well as the free trick-or-treating event, customers can visit the store's online events calendar or eventbrite.com (search for Stew Leonard's in Norwalk); tickets are currently available on eventbrite.com, according to the store.

The store also recently announced Stew's Screamsicle Milk, a special orange-colored flavored milk, is now available in stores for families to enjoy during the Halloween season.

"It's creamsicle-flavored, naturally colored and comes in a Halloween-themed collectible bottle," Bell said.

To celebrate the arrival of Screamsicle Milk, the Norwalk store's animatronic Cookie Milk bottle has been redecorated to resemble the new Halloween-themed product.

"Our friend has officially switched into spooky season mode and is ready to hang out with you at Stew's," the store wrote in a Facebook post over the weekend. "Stop by the store and check out the newest member of our spooky crew!"

In addition to its Connecticut stores, Stew Leonard's also has locations in New York and New Jersey.
