Connecticut Orthopaedics Adds Mobile MRI Unit At Orange Office
Connecticut Orthopaedics added a mobile MRI unit at its Orange office, increasing scanning capacity by 33%.

ORANGE, CT — Connecticut Orthopaedics has added a new mobile GE Voyager MRI system at its 235 Boston Post Road office, increasing the practice's scanning capacity by 33 percent, according to the company.
The new unit was introduced Tuesday at a ribbon-cutting organized by the Amity Chamber of Commerce. Attendees included Connecticut Orthopaedics physicians and executives, Amity Chamber CEO Barry Lee Cohen, Orange Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Annemarie Sliby, state Rep. Kathleen Kennedy, patients, chamber members and representatives of local businesses.
Connecticut Orthopaedics said the new MRI system is intended to reduce wait times for diagnostic imaging. The system has a wider tunnel opening designed to accommodate a broader range of patients and software intended to support faster scans and improved image quality.

“This investment is about making exceptional orthopedic care more accessible, comfortable and efficient for our patients,” Connecticut Orthopaedics CEO Susan Bader said. “The new mobile GE Voyager MRI demonstrates our continued commitment to investing in advanced technology and providing world-class, patient-centered care to the communities we serve.”
The practice said high-speed MRI technology is now available at all four of its MRI locations.

Cohen said the new unit reflects Connecticut Orthopaedics' role in the local business and health care community.
“Connecticut Orthopaedics is a valued, trusted, and relied-upon partner to both patients and the business community,” Cohen said. “The mobile MRI is a testament to Connecticut Orthopaedics' patient-focused, compassionate, and innovative care.”
Connecticut Orthopaedics was founded in 1963 and operates more than 20 locations, including eight urgent care centers and three surgical centers, with more than 60 doctors, according to the company.
