"Employer Interviewing DOs and DON'Ts" Workshop August 18th

"Employer Interviewing DOs and DON'Ts," a free legal breakfast workshop organized by the Amity Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Tuesday, August 18th at Rivermere Senior Living of Orange (formerly Charter Senior Living of Orange), 197 Indian River Road, Orange. Doors open at 8:15 am, with the one-hour session starting promptly at 8:30 am. The workshop is part of the Chamber's "Breakfast & Briefs" legal seminar series.

Presented by attorneys Courtney George, Jeremy A. Gustafson, and Maryanne D. MacIsaac of Zabel Schellenberg Attorneys at Law, mock interviews will be followed by attendee participation to illustrate why understanding the dos and don'ts of interviewing job candidates is essential for employers to avoid potential legal risks and consequences. The session will cover employer interview responsibilities and preparation, adherence to federal and state employment laws, and anti-discrimination enforcement.
