The Seymour Library is pleased to again host Matt Yanarella. Matt is sharing his food interest and celebrating New England culinary history from the Revolutionary era in honor of America's 250th and renewed interest in the subject.Mr. Yanarella will be demonstrating classic New England cuisine with a tasting afterward. The menu will be dictated by whatever is in season--dishes such as johnnycakes, apple fritters and Native American dishes like succotash could be possibilities.Due to limited space registration is required. Come on down!Join us at the Seymour Library on July 8th for a special 250th Independence themed trivia night with Trivia Host David the local founder and creator of Sticker Book Publishing.Doors open at 6:15 pm and the fun starts at 6:30 pm. Bring your family, your friends or just come--teams and individuals are welcome! If you are coming as an individual and want to be matched with a team the Library can do that! Prizes will be awarded to the winning team or person.This is a free event and registration is highly suggested but walk-ins are welcome. Participation is required if attending. Oxford Blooms Flower Farm

Join the Oxford Cultural Arts Commission for a special four-part plein air painting series at Oxford Blooms, where artists will gather throughout the summer to capture the changing landscape of this beautiful garden space. By returning to the same location over the course of the season, participants will have the opportunity to document how light, color, and plant life evolve from early summer into late season bloom.Artists are encouraged to bring their own supplies and work in any medium—painting, drawing, watercolor, pastel, or sketching. Whether you’re a seasoned plein air painter or simply curious about trying something new, artists of all levels are warmly welcome.Each session will run 5:30 PM until sunset, allowing participants to enjoy the golden evening light while creating alongside fellow artists in a relaxed, supportive environment.Bring your materials, find a view that inspires you, and watch the summer unfold one painting at a time.
