Loose Cows Prompt Police Search
The cows were found near Maple Tree Road Sunday, prompting police to ask the public for help locating their owner.
OXFORD, CT — Oxford police turned to the public for help Sunday after several loose cows were found wandering near Maple Tree Road.
In a social media post, the Oxford Police Department asked anyone who recognized the cattle or knew who owned them to contact the department or Connecticut State Police Troop A.
"Anyone lose their cows in the area of Maple Tree Road???" the department wrote.

Later Sunday, police announced the cows had been safely returned to their home with the help of a local resident.
