The Remembrance Parade
The Cannon Ridge Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, is pleased to invite you to the Remembrance Parade featuring Gold's Dragoons, The Governor's Horse Guards and Mt. Kisco Scottish Pipe and Drum Corps. &nbsp;This America 250 commemoration honors the Patriots and veterans who supported the cause of American independence, and remembers the sacrifices made at the Battle of Ridgefield. The Parade is free and open to all. &nbsp;We encourage everyone in our community to join as we pause to reflect on our shared American history during the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.&nbsp;
The parade will commence at 12 noon on April 25th from Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church on Main Street ending at the Battle of Ridgefield memorial plaque in Ballard Park with a wreath laying ceremony honoring:
Patriots and Veterans who supported American Independence, particularly at the Battle of Ridgefield &nbsp;
Lieutenant Colonel Abraham Gould, a Gold's Dragoon killed during the Battle of Ridgefield&nbsp;
British troops buried on the battlefield who fell in honorable service to their King
The sold out Black Tie Remembrance Ball will commence at 6pm in the Lounsbury House.&nbsp;

When his history book magically bursts, Jack meets some of the most exciting people in our nation’s history! George Washington, Ben Franklin, Henry Ford and Neil Armstrong are just some of the 22 characters who show up in this high-energy adventure. As our nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the&nbsp;Cannon Ridge Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution&nbsp;is honored to host a commemorative evening in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
On&nbsp;Saturday, April 25, 2026, the Cannon Ridge Chapter will host the&nbsp;Remembrance Ball&nbsp;at the historic&nbsp;Lounsbury House. This black-tie gala commemorates our Nation’s Semiquincentennial, pays tribute to those who fought for American independence, and respectfully honors all sacrifices made at the Battle of Ridgefield.&nbsp;
The evening will feature an exceptional dinner prepared by&nbsp;Chef Forrest Pasternack, trained at the Culinary Institute of America. The menu will be rooted in the revolutionary era and inspired by the storied hospitality of George and Martha Washington.&nbsp;Thereafter, guests will&nbsp;be invited to dance, and to participate in an auction.
