Ridgefield Station Receives Purple Flag Dementia Care Re-Accreditation
Ridgefield Station celebrated Purple Flag re-accreditation for dementia care during an Aug. 20 event.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield Station celebrated its Purple Flag Excellence in Dementia Care re-accreditation during an Aug. 20 event with residents, associates and Purple Flag President Christopher Carter, according to a release.
The senior living community was described as one of 11 senior living communities in Connecticut awarded by Purple Flag for its approach to dementia care.
Purple Flag’s application process reviews the practices and policies of senior living communities and certifies those that meet its standards. Ridgefield Station’s approach emphasizes residents’ personalities, goals, identities and preferences before their diagnosis, the release said.
Ridgefield Station offers assisted living and Compass Memory Support. Purple Flag has noted the community’s focus on nutritious dining and lifelong learning programs across neighborhoods as part of its approach to helping offset symptoms of memory loss without relying heavily on medication.

Ridgefield Station provides assisted living and a residential Compass Memory Support Neighborhood, with research-based programming aimed at reducing symptoms of memory loss.
Residents have access to restaurant-style dining with brain-healthy menu options, lifelong learning opportunities and a location near shopping, dining and cultural attractions.
