Sign Up For Simsbury's End Of School Year 'FunFest'

SIMSBURY, Conn. — Simsbury Parks and Recreation will celebrate the end of the school year with its annual Last Day of School Funfest on Thursday, June 18, at Simsbury Farms, 100 Old Farms Road.

The event, sponsored by the Simsbury Youth Service Bureau, is scheduled from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and is open to children ages 4 to 14.

Activities will include music, inflatable attractions and games.

Organizers describe the event as a kickoff to the summer season for local families.

Advance registration ends Wednesday, June 17, according to Parks and Recreation officials.

Admission is $5 through pre-registration and $8 cash at the door on the day of the event.

The Simsbury Farms pool will open at 1 p.m. for members and at 2 p.m. for non-members. Separate pool admission is required and is not included with Funfest registration.

Additional event sponsors include Hartford HealthCare, The Goddard School, The Ethel Walker School and Westminster School.
