Simsbury Roadway To Close For Paving This Week

A section of the road will be closed during daytime hours July 15-17 for paving work.

SIMSBURY, CT — A portion of Stratton Brook Road in Simsbury will be closed to through traffic for three days this week as crews complete paving work, town officials announced.

The closure will affect the section of Stratton Brook Road between Bushy Hill Road and Farms Village Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, Thursday, July 16, and Friday, July 17.

During the daytime closures, motorists will need to use alternate routes while crews repave the roadway.

The town said local traffic and emergency vehicles will continue to have access to the area as needed.

Officials said the temporary closure is necessary to protect both residents and road crews during the paving project.
