Simsbury is seeking a registered Democratic voter to fill a vacancy on the town's board of ethics.

SIMSBURY, CT — Simsbury officials are looking for a resident interested in serving on the town's board of ethics.
The town announced Aug. 31 that the board has one vacancy for a registered voter affiliated with the Democratic Party.
The Simsbury Board of Ethics is responsible for enforcing Simsbury's Code of Ethics and addressing ethical conduct involving town officials, employees and others working with the municipality.

Among its responsibilities, the board reviews confidential complaints involving town officials, employees, and consultants.
It can conduct investigations and hearings and issue advisory opinions concerning ethical standards and potential conflicts of interest.

The board may also issue subpoenas or seek information when it determines there is probable cause supporting a complaint.
Residents interested in filling the vacancy can submit a volunteer application through the Town of Simsbury.
