SOUTHBURY, CT — Motorists can expect lane closures along Route 487 in Southbury and Oxford beginning Tuesday as a milling and resurfacing project gets underway, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

The project covers a 4.24-mile stretch of Route 487 from Kettletown State Park to Route 67. Milling is scheduled for Sept. 1-2, followed by resurfacing from Sept. 8-18, CTDOT said.

Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Traffic control personnel and signs will guide motorists through the work zone, and the schedule could change due to weather or other unforeseen conditions.
