<p>Join us for a special open house celebrating the work of our summer interns and the stories preserved at the Barnes Museum.</p>
<p>Throughout the day, guests can explore a showcase of projects completed by our interns, take a full tour of the museum, and view Southington’s 250, featuring objects selected and curated by the interns from the museum’s collection.</p>
<p>Light refreshments will be served, and all are welcome.</p>
<p>Admission is by suggested donation. Contributions made during the open house will support our campaign to repaint and preserve the exterior of the Barnes Museum so this treasured local landmark can continue to serve the community for generations to come.</p>

<p>MIDDLESEX HOSPITAL VOCAL CHORDS (MHVC) seeks altos, tenors and basses to join them in preparing for their 36 annual holiday concert to be held on Sunday, December 6, 2026.&nbsp; The event will be held at Portland High School, 95 High St., Portland at 2pm.&nbsp; We are searching for enthusiastic men and women (over age 18) to expand our Vocal Chord family.&nbsp; No auditions or prior experience required and you do not have to be an employee of Middlesex Health.&nbsp; Deadline to join is Tuesday, September 8th.&nbsp; This is a community-focused group that has delighted audiences for 36 years with energetic concerts featuring a wide range of musical styles.&nbsp; Our 80 current members hail from Central and Southern CT and represent diverse backgrounds.&nbsp; What unites us is our shared love for singing.</p>
