Meet Southington's 'Top Dogs' For 2026
The Southington Town Clerk's Office announced the winners of its annual Top Dog contest, recognizing dogs licensed by June 30.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Town Clerk's Office has announced the winners of its annual Top Dog contest, recognizing three dogs whose owners completed the town's required dog licensing process before the June 30 deadline.
The drawing, held in conjunction with the town's annual dog licensing campaign, selected the following winners for the 2026-27 licensing year:
- Derby Topper — Top Dog No. 1
- Thor Delgado — Top Dog No. 2
- Cole Infante — Top Dog No. 3
The winning dogs receive license tag numbers 1, 2, and 3, along with additional prizes.

Connecticut law requires all dogs 6 months of age and older to be licensed annually. Southington officials remind residents that licenses for the 2026-27 licensing year were due by June 30.
To encourage timely registration, every dog licensed by the deadline was automatically entered into the annual Top Dog drawing.
