Road Work Prompts Detours In Southington, 'Long Delays' Likely: Police

SOUTHINGTON, CT— Southington police announced temporary traffic detours Tuesday because of road construction near 124 DePaolo Drive.

According to the Southington Police Department, eastbound traffic is being detoured north onto Roseanna Road, then onto Mount Vernon Road.

Westbound traffic is being redirected to School Street or Roseanna Road, police said.

Officials noted that local traffic, school buses, and emergency vehicles can still safely pass through the construction area.

Police advised motorists to expect "long delays" and use alternate routes if possible while construction work continues.
