Southington School Board Names Jason Cicero Principal Of Flanders Elementary School
A veteran Stratford educator is to to assume a new leadership role in Southington On Aug. 6
SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Board of Education has appointed Jason D. Cicero as principal of Flanders Elementary School, effective Aug. 6.
The board approved the appointment during its July 30 meeting, according to a news release from Southington Public Schools.
Cicero currently serves as assistant principal at Chapel Street Elementary School in Stratford, a position he has held since 2022. Before that, he served as an interim principal in Stratford Public Schools and previously worked as a classroom teacher in Milford Public Schools.

Southington Public Schools said the selection followed a search process that identified Cicero as a candidate capable of maintaining and building on the standards established at Flanders Elementary School.
Cicero is scheduled to be formally welcomed to the district during the Board of Education's next regular meeting on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Weichsel Municipal Center.

The announcement was made by Superintendent Steven G. Madancy in a press release issued Tuesday.
