South Windsor Police Cruiser Damaged, Man Arrested

Police said the man made violent threats toward officers.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A 31-year-old Agawam, Massachusetts, man turned himself in Thursday on an arrest warrant tied to an April incident, police said.

Daron A. Turcotte was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, interfering with officers and second-degree threatening.

Police said Turcotte damaged equipment inside a police cruiser while receiving a courtesy ride, then later made violent threats toward officers.

He was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond. Turcotte is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Aug. 12, police said.
