Route 5 Reopens After Pedestrian Is Struck By Vehicle, South Windsor Police Say

South Windsor police said the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Route 5 southbound at Pleasant Valley Road has reopened following a serious vehicle-pedestrian crash, according to the South Windsor Police Department.

Police said the roadway was closed for several hours while officers investigated the scene and later reopened to traffic. No additional updates were immediately released.

According to police, the crash happened around 6:20 p.m. and involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
