'Psychological Episode' Cited By State Police In Northeast Connecticut Hotel Trashing Incident
A man who wrecked a hotel room along the I-84 corridor is facing criminal charges, state police said.

ASHFORD, CT — A man state police said was having a "psychological episode" is facing criminal charges after busting up a room at a remote motel along the easternmost stretch of the Interstate 84 corridor, according to an arrest report.
The incident took place at 5:21 Saturday morning, state police said.
According to an arrest report, troopers were dispatched to the Ashford Motel and were told a man was having the "episode" inside a room. When they arrived at the room, troopers encountered extensive damage, according to an arrest report.

The man was identified as a 42-year-old Putnam resident.
He was charged with the misuse of the 911 system and first-degree criminal mischief, records show.
