Sample Ballot Released For Upcoming Willington School Project Referendum

Voters will be asked to approve $98.64 million in borrowing, but the project is in line for a 94.58 percent of that back from the state.

WILLINGTON, CT — The question of up-front funding for Willington's proposed project for a new education complex is headed for a public vote.

Residents and taxpayers will be asked to approve $98.64 million in borrowing, but the project is in line for a 94.58 percent reimbursement rate from the state.

That is a reimbursement rate about 30 percentage points higher than the usual max.
