STAFFORD, CT — An employee of a local sandwich shop has been charged in connection with a theft at the business, state police said.

Anthony Rodriguez, 28, of Stafford, was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny following a theft at Subway, located at 88 West Stafford Road, according to an arrest report.

The arrest was made on Feb. 6, state police said.

That day, according to an arrest report, store staffers reported a burglary during which items were taken during the overnight hours.

Investigators then pinned the caper on Rodriguez, who was a store employee, according to an arrest report.
