Italian Restaurant In Stamford Closes After 5 Years In Business

STAMFORD, CT — Another restaurant has closed in Stamford.

Quartiere, an Italian restaurant located at 51 Bank St., has closed after five years in business.

The restaurant offered fresh handmade pasta, wood-fired pizza, Italian entrees, shareable plates, craft cocktails and more.

"After 5 incredible years on Bank Street, we’re closing our doors. Five years of dinners, drinks, celebrations, familiar faces, new friends, and countless memories around our tables," the restaurant said in an Instagram post this week.

"To everyone who walked through our doors, celebrated with us, brought friends, and came back time and time again, we thank you. You gave this place its energy, its stories, and a whole lot of great nights. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who made Quartiere part of their lives. Thank you, Bank Street. It’s been a good one."

However, the Quartiere team recently opened KIN Social in the former space of Mexicue in Harbor Point.

The restaurant offers a waterfront dining experience featuring globally inspired shareable cuisine, an inventive cocktail program and a social atmosphere overlooking the harbor.

According to the Stamford Advocate, the space at 51 Bank St. won't remain vacant for long.

The Advocate reported that Fiesta On Main, a Peruvian restaurant at 249 Main St., is planning to move in over the next few weeks.

The closing of Quartiere comes after Fortina Pizza, another popular Italian restaurant, recently closed its Harbor Point location after 10 years in business.
