An Evening of Poetry with Carla Panciera

Join us at the Stonington Free Library (20 High Street, Stonington CT) for an evening with award-winning poet Carla Panciera, whose work is deeply rooted in the landscapes, families, and histories of New England. Born and raised on her family's dairy farm in nearby Westerly, Rhode Island, Panciera is the author of five books, including three acclaimed poetry collections. Her latest collection, One Trail of Longing, Another of String, was longlisted for the 2026 Massachusetts Book Award in Poetry.

She is also the author of the memoir Barnflower: A Rhode Island Farm Memoir and the award-winning short story collection Bewildered. Don't miss this opportunity to hear one of the region's most celebrated literary voices read from her work and reflect on the power of poetry to illuminate place, memory, and belonging.
