Man Fired Gun Into Hotel Room In Stonington: Reports
A man is accused of accidentally firing a bullet into a hotel room in Stonington, according to reports.
STONINGTON, CT — A man is facing charges after police say he accidentally fired a gun at an occupied motel room in Stonington, according to media reports.
The incident occurred at America's Best Value Inn on Stonington Road on Friday at about 11:45 p.m. A caller told police that a bullet had been fired at a neighboring room, according to NBC Connecticut.
A 21-year-old Massachusetts man accidentally fired a Glock 19 9 mm handgun while handling it in his room, WFSB 3-TV reported. The bullet entered a neighboring room.

No injuries were reported.
The man was arrested and charged with illegal discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, possession of a high-capacity magazine, and breach of peace.

He was released on a $25,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 2.
