$25,000 Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Stratford

STRATFORD, CT — An unnamed Stratford resident is $25,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket s/he purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Tuesday, the person claimed a winning America 250 Connecticut ticket that was bought at Bashir & Sons Stratford on Barnum Avenue.

The Connecticut Lottery no longer publishes winners’ names without their written consent, in accordance with Sec. 3(d) of Public Act 25-112, according to officials.

The game, which costs $5 per ticket, began in June, and as of Friday, one grand prizes of $25,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 1 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.06.
