This coming Saturday, May 2, 14 Refill the Pantry volunteers will conduct the organization’s third food drive this year, at the Stop & Shop located at 200 E. Main St., Stratford, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., working to restock the shelves of the food pantry at the Sterling Community Center, at 2283 Main St., Stratford – which is in “desperate” need of food, said the Center’s food pantry director.
“We’re down to 10 boxes of Cheerios, and we don’t have a lot of pasta and pasta sauce,” said LeAnne Reynolds, director of the Sterling Community Center food pantry. “Refill the Pantry’s collection this weekend helps us make sure the 400 families we serve each month will have enough food for their households.
