Police To Monitor ‘Bike Rideout’ Set For Stratford

Police said officers will be present during the event to "ensure public safety and maintain order."

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford police are advising residents that they will be monitoring a “Bike Rideout” that will take place in Stratford this weekend.

The event will take place Saturday, May 16, from Stratford to Bridgeport, according to police.

“ALL participants are expected to obey traffic laws and ride safely,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Violations including reckless operation, failure to obey traffic control devices, impeding traffic, or other unlawful behavior may result in enforcement action.

“SPD Officers will be present during the event to ensure public safety and maintain order.

“We expect all riders to act responsibly and to respect fellow riders, motorists, pedestrians, and our community.”
