Potential ‘Beach Takeover’ Temporarily Closes Beach In Stratford: Police
Police said access to a beach was temporarily closed "out of an abundance of caution."
STRATFORD, CT — In an update, police said Short Beach Park reopened at 3 p.m.
"Expect to see police presence at all town beaches & parks to ensure the safety of all visitors," police wrote.

“We are monitoring all town beaches at this time,” police wrote in the advisory. “No activities have been canceled. The golf course and restaurant remain open and accessible.”
