Kenneth W. Palazzo, 91, died June 29, 2026. A U.S. Army veteran and retired SNET employee, he was a past president of the Lordship Fathers' Club, played softball into his 70s, coached Little League for his daughter’s team when girls were first allowed to play, and was known for his outgoing personality and quick wit.

Linda Ann (Reynolds) Swift, 68, died July 8, 2026; a Human Resources Business Partner with Canon USA, she enjoyed gardening, annual vacations to Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard, taking walks with her dog, Nash, watching sunsets, and spending time with family and friends.

Robert (Bob) John Cascone, 88, died July 13, 2026. A master tile craftsman who retired early to care for his parents, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, target shooting and archery, coached youth at the Bridgeport Gun Club, was active with the Stratford Gun Collectors, devoted many years to Masonic organizations, as well as the Shriners Motor Patrol and Shriners Transportation Group, where he helped transport children for specialized medical care.

Dr. John W. Kirkland, 80, died July 16, 2026. A physician who spent more than 50 years caring for patients in private practice in Stratford and at Bridgeport Hospital before volunteering with Americares to provide free healthcare to uninsured patients after retirement, he was also an All-American collegiate swimmer, expert skier and ski instructor, scuba diver with an interest in marine biology, avid traveler, camper and bird watcher.

Joseph Mark Ambrose Jr., 32, died July 19, 2026. A lifelong area resident, he was a graduate of Bunnell High School's Class of 2011, and worked for Edgewell-Schick before his battle with cancer.

Carl Albert Selvaggi Jr., 69, died July 22, 2026; proprietor of Carl's Monument and Barre Granite Monument Works, he was a member of the East End Yacht Club and Miamogue Yacht Club and enjoyed boating, fishing and oystering.
