Stratford Residents Urged To Report Damage From Flooding

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford residents are being asked to report damage from Sunday’s flooding event through the Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security’s CrisisTrack Damage Self Report.

In a message to residents, Mayor David Chess said “if your home or property experienced flood-related damage, or if you have unmet needs resulting from the storm, please complete the CrisisTrack damage reporting survey.”

The deadline to complete the survey is Oct. 9.

“This survey will help state and local emergency management officials identify and document the extent of damages caused by the September 13 flooding,” Chess wrote in the message. “The information collected will assist the State of Connecticut in determining whether the impacts of this event may qualify for post-disaster programs through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and/or the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

“Submitting a damage report does not guarantee financial or other assistance.

“However, reporting your damage is important because it ensures that impacts to Stratford residents, households, and properties are documented as part of the statewide damage assessment.”
