Suffield Unveils Special Honor For Beloved Parks & Rec Leader
The recognition comes after years of work tied to programs that have touched many Suffield families.

SUFFIELD, CT — Suffield is honoring a longtime Parks & Recreation staff member with a tribute tied to one of the department’s well-known programs.
Suffield Parks & Recreation announced that Donna Carney-Bastrzycki is marking her 25th work anniversary with the Town of Suffield. In recognition of her years of service, the department said the Bowling Buddies Program has been renamed “Donna’s Bowling Buddies Program.”

Town officials said Donna has made a strong impact on the community over the years while helping create meaningful recreation opportunities for people of all ages. They also said she has played a role in many other programs in Suffield.

The department thanked Donna for her dedication, inspiration, and years of work serving local families. A photo shared with the announcement showed Donna with her husband, Stephan, Mr. and Mrs. Bastrzycki, and Parks & Recreation Director Peter Leclerc.
