1. Haddam Womanβs Club Town-Wide Tag Sale

2. The East Haddam Heritage Market
When: First Wednesday of the month, beginning May 7, 3:00 to 6:00 PM
Where: Grange Hall, 488 Town St, East Haddam, CT
This seasonal market runs once a month from May through September and features a diverse range of local vendors, from farm-fresh produce and baked goods to handmade artisan items. Each market date has a theme, such as Spring Fling (May 7) and Kidpreneur Day (June 4).

3. Pick-Your-Own Flowers at Halfinger Farms
When: Open daily April through June; hours vary
Where: 489 Candlewood Hill Rd, Higganum, CT
In nearby Higganum is Halfinger Farms, a family-owned and operated farm known for its gorgeous spring blooms. During the month of April, the Dancing Daffodils farm is open daily 10 AM to 5 PM, weather permitting, in addition to the Halfinger greenhouse about a half mile down the road. In May and June, the greenhouses feature colorful florals, fresh produce, herbs and more. Check the website or call the picking hotline (860-345-4609) for daily hours.

4. Hiking at Devil's Hopyard State Park

Spend some time in the great outdoors as the weather warms up with a scenic hike through Devilβs Hopyard State Park. Take in the view of the beautiful Eightmile River and 60-foot-high Chapman Falls, or make it a full afternoon of fishing, biking or picnicking in this 1,000-acre park.

5. Pick Your Own Fruit at Staehly Farm & Winery

6. 2026 Connecticut Sea Music Festival

Where: Various venues in Downtown Essex, CT
This annual music festival is held just a short drive away in Essex and offers a variety of events and performances suitable for all ages and music tastes.
