Haddam Parks Commission To Review New Field Use Forms, Great Hill And Brickyard Conditions

Haddam parks officials will review field use forms, Great Hill and Brickyard conditions and recreation finances Sept. 10.

HADDAM, CT — The Haddam Park & Recreation Commission will consider approving new field and facility use request forms Sept. 10 while reviewing conditions and ongoing work at Great Hill and Brickyard fields.

The commission's agenda also calls for updates on Haddam Elementary School, Higganum Cove and the Rossi property, along with a review of town recreation finances through August.

The commission is scheduled to review, discuss and potentially approve new forms governing requests to use town fields and facilities.

Great Hill, Brickyard Fields On Agenda

Commissioners will receive several updates concerning Great Hill Fields, including the status of the playscape, field conditions, sanitation and other activities.

At Brickyard Field, the commission is scheduled to discuss any progress on brush mitigation and review field conditions.

Under new business, commissioners will receive updates concerning Haddam Elementary School, Higganum Cove and the Rossi property. The agenda also provides for discussion of new projects planned by other town commissions or agencies, property issues or repairs and possible additions to the commission's ongoing list of parks and recreation sites.

The commission will also conduct a general review of current budget and financial reports through August and consider new bills, purchase orders and related motions.

Members are scheduled to consider approval of minutes from their June 11 and July 9 meetings and provide an opportunity for public comment, limited to three minutes per speaker.

The regular meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at Old Town Hall, with remote participation available through Zoom.
