Lyme, East Lyme & Old Lyme Open Houses Oct. 17-18: A Niantic Bungalow, A Sound View Cottage And 6 More

EAST LYME, CT — This weekend's open houses include a Niantic Village bungalow near the Niantic River with an approved mooring, a remodeled cottage steps from the beach at Sound View whose price dropped $50,000 this week, and four new homes on Twin Valley Road, including a model.

Eight homes in East Lyme and Old Lyme are holding open houses Saturday, Oct. 17, and Sunday, Oct. 18, with prices from $250,000 to $1,575,000, according to Zillow.com. No Lyme homes have open houses scheduled this weekend.

Saturday, Oct. 17

78-1 Hartford Ave. #78-1, Old Lyme, 10 a.m. to noon (also Friday, Oct. 16, 4 to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to noon), $250,000. This completely remodeled 1940 cottage is steps from the beach at Sound View, with newer electrical, windows and siding, AZEK decking and a new kitchen, bath and floors. The listing notes it has seasonal water service, on from about March 15 to Nov. 30. It's a two-bedroom, one-bath home with 624 square feet; the HOA fee is $42 a month. Its price was cut by $50,000 on Oct. 14.

Four new homes on Twin Valley Road, in a community of 22 homes on a quiet cul-de-sac, are open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.; the HOA fee is $42 a month:

1 Twin Valley Road, East Lyme, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (also Sunday, 10 a.m. to noon), $1,442,995. The community's Lillinonah model home, built in 2025, has a two-story foyer. It's a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with 2,831 square feet on 0.89 acres.

6 Twin Valley Road, East Lyme, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (also Sunday, 10 a.m. to noon), $1,240,000. This is a to-be-built plan, the largest of the four open: a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with 3,718 square feet on 0.67 acres.

20 Twin Valley Road, East Lyme, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (also Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), $1,175,000. This to-be-built Colonial plan has a two-story foyer, an open kitchen and great room, a loft, a mudroom and an oversized three-car garage. It's a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with 3,484 square feet on 0.91 acres.

24 Twin Valley Road, East Lyme, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (also Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), $1,200,000. This to-be-built plan sits on the largest lot of the four, 1.59 acres. It's a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with 2,810 square feet.

The front porch has Niantic Bay views, an upstairs loft overlooks the river and marinas, and a detached seasonal cottage could be an office or guest space. It's a two-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with 1,741 square feet on half an acre. Its asking price has dropped $45,500 since Oct. 7.

21-1 Haywagon Drive, Old Lyme, noon to 2 p.m. (also Sunday, noon to 2 p.m.), $1,575,000. This 2002 Colonial has water views, a two-story living room with a gas fireplace and a gourmet kitchen with marble counters. It's a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home with 3,766 square feet on 1.34 acres; the HOA fee is $132 a month.
