A flying truck bed cover caused a scare on Interstate 84 late last week, a state police report shows.

TOLLAND, CT — A flying truck bed cover caused a scare on Interstate 84 late last week, a state police report shows.
The incident took place at 1:21 p.m. on Aug. 27, state police said.
According to a crash report, a GMC Sierra was heading west on I-84 near Exit 69 and was passing both a 2025 Jeep Cherokee and a late model Volkswagen Tiguan.

Suddenly, the pickup's bed cover flew off and hit the front bumper of the Jeep, bounced off it and then hit the VW, according to a crash report.
Both vehicles sustained what state police termed minor damage.
