Teen Driver Charged With DUI After Crash At Tolland Green: State Police

TOLLAND, CT — A teen driver was charged with being drunk while behind the wheel after a crash on Tolland Green, state police said.

The incident took place 24 minutes before midnight on Aug. 13, according to crash and arrest reports.

According to an arrest report, the 19-year-old was charged with DUI with a blood alcohol level of .02 or higher at younger than 21. She was also charged with unsafe passing on the left, following too closely and failure to drive in the proper lane, according to an arrest report.

According to a crash report, the teen was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro southbound near 63 Tolland Green when she lost control and wound up hitting a utility pole.

She was not hurt, but a passenger, a 17-year-old girl from Vernon, sustained a minor injury, according to a crash report.
