Tolland Seeking Back-To-School Gift Cards To Help Local Students
Donations through Sept. 3 will help Tolland families buy school supplies, clothing and other essentials.

TOLLAND, CT — Tolland Human Services is collecting back-to-school gift card donations through Sept. 3 to help local students and families prepare for the upcoming school year.
The donation effort is focused on helping families buy classroom supplies, clothing and other back-to-school essentials, according to the announcement.
The town department said it has already received many donations of backpacks and school supplies. It is now asking community members to give gift cards so families can purchase additional items they still need before classes begin.

Requested gift cards are for Target, Amazon, Kohl's, Walmart and Staples. Donations can be dropped off at the Human Services Office at 21 Tolland Green, Level 4.
The announcement states, "Tolland Human Services is seeking donations of back-to-school gift cards now through September 3 to help local students and families prepare for a successful school year." It also says, "We have received many generous donations of backpacks and school supplies, and we are now looking for gift cards to help families purchase additional classroom supplies, clothing, and other back-to-school essentials."
