Tolland Town Hall Hallway Closure to Limit Access To Some Offices
Town Hall work in Tolland is slated for Monday.

TOLLAND, CT — Repair work at the Hicks Municipal Center will temporarily close the fifth-floor hallway on Monday, July 13, affecting access to several municipal offices.
The town said the closure will affect access to the Assessor, Tax Collector and Town Clerk offices. Those offices will remain open during the construction, according to the town notice.
Visitors may still reach the fifth-floor offices from the Tolland Green street entrance. The town said parking there is limited and that access may be challenging for people with mobility limitations.

Residents who need to conduct business with one of the affected offices but want to avoid the alternate entrance may instead use the secure Town Hall drop box at the Parking Lot C entrance. The town said the drop box may be used for tax payments or documents during the hallway closure.
The notice also asks residents who need an accessible route or other accommodations to contact the Town Manager's Office before visiting. The phone number listed in the notice is 860-871-3600.

Town Hall said, “If you need to conduct business with one of the affected offices and require an accessible route or other accommodations, please call the Town Manager's Office at 860-871-3600 before your visit so we can assist you.”
The town added, “We appreciate your patience and understanding.” According to the notice, regular access is expected to resume Tuesday, July 14.
Town Hall hours on Tuesday are listed as 8:00 am to 7:30 pm. The temporary closure applies only to the fifth-floor hallway on Monday and does not close the affected offices themselves.
For residents planning a visit, the main change is how they will reach those offices during the repair work. Anyone heading to the Assessor, Tax Collector or Town Clerk on Monday may want to plan ahead for alternate entry, limited parking or document drop-off, based on the town's guidance.
