Town Traditions: The Pond At The Park In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — One tradition in Tolland is certainly summertime swimming at Crandall Pond.

The pond is part of the larger Crandall Park complex. It measures about 3 acres and features a sandy beach and a roped-off swimming area.

It even has lifeguards on duty.

The Tolland Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for a Summer Camp Waterfront Lifeguards for the Summer Season of 2023 to late August. The starting rate is $18 per hour. The position is approximately 20 hours Monday through Friday from hours noon to 4 p.m. Applications are available in the Town Manager’s Office, Hicks Memorial Municipal Center, 21 Tolland Green, Tolland, CT 06084 or at www.tollandct.gov under Help Center. All applications are due back to the Tolland Town Manager’s Office. Position open until filled.
