New Basketball Coach Named At Lyman Hall High School

WALLINGFORD, CT — Jim Economopoulos has been named the new boys basketball coach at Lyman Hall High School, the athletic department announced Friday.

Economopoulos resigned last month as the head coach of the Hand-Madison boys basketball team. He led the Tigers to the 2022 CIAC Division III championship for the program’s first state title.

Economopoulos is currently a teacher at Dag Hammarskjold Middle School in Wallingford.

“The Lyman Hall Athletic Department is proud to announce the hiring of Jimmy Economopoulos as our new head boys basketball coach,” officials wrote in a post on X. “He's a LH graduate & current educator in the Wallingford Public Schools who brings over 10 years of successful coaching in the SCC. Welcome Home Coach!”
