The Sheehan girls basketball team advanced to its first-ever SCC championship game with a win over second-seeded Mercy in the semifinals.
WALLINGFORD, CT — The sixth-seeded Sheehan girls basketball team advanced to its first-ever SCC championship game with a 34-32 semifinal victory over No. 2 Mercy on Saturday at Shelton High School.
Senior Megan Wresien, who scored a game-high 17 points for the Titans, sealed the victory with a steal with 3 seconds to go in the game.
Sheehan faced top-seeded Sacred Heart Academy in the championship game on Monday, March 2 at the M&T Bank Arena at Quinnipiac University.
