Board Takes Action On Massive Housing Proposal In Waterford: Report
Plans called for hundreds of homes on a 190-acre property, according to a report.
WATERFORD, CT — The Waterford Planning & Zoning Commission rejected a zoning change that would have paved the way for a 600-townhouse development, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.
The 190-acre property at 140 Waterford Parkway S. is currently zoned for industrial use. Previously, it was the site of the Waterford Airport until it closed in 1989.
The developer had trimmed its request from 750 homes down to 600, but the commission denied the proposal due in part to traffic concerns.
