The West Hartford Pooch Plunge community fundraising event, organized by the West Hartford Dog Park Coalition, is set for Monday, August 17, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at Beachland Park. (The rain date is Tuesday, August 18th). This year is dedicated to the Coleman family and all they have done for the Dog Park over the last few years.
Serving as a celebratory finale to the summer season, the annual Pooch Plunge provides local dog owners and their pets with a unique, community-oriented off-leash swimming experience. Admission is $20 per family. All proceeds from admission fees, raffle tickets, and local sponsorships will directly support the maintenance, development, and ongoing advocacy efforts of the West Hartford Dog Park.
Due to high interest, the event will be held in two sessions.
Session 1: 2:30 PM – 4:15 PM – get your tickets here
Session 2: 5:00 PM – 6:45 PM – get your tickets here
Clean-Up Break: A 45-minute break will take place between 4:15 PM and 5:00 PM to clear out the first session and allow volunteers to clean the area.
