The DOT will mill and pave a busy section of roadway, with overnight lane closures in New Britain, Newington, Farmington and West Hartford.
Motorists traveling along Route 71 in four area towns should expect overnight lane closures beginning Thursday, July 9, as the state Department of Transportation starts a resurfacing project spanning portions of New Britain, Newington, Farmington and West Hartford.
The project will improve a 0.88-mile stretch of Route 71 (New Britain Avenue) from the southbound access ramp to Route 9 to South Road.
