“HOT OFF THE PRESS🔥 Dime Pizza is coming to West Hartford!” the office wrote in its announcement.
Dime Pizza will specialize in Detroit-style pizza, a rectangular pan pizza known for its thick, airy, and chewy crust and crispy, caramelized cheese around the edges.
The style originated in Detroit in the 1940s and is typically prepared with cheese and toppings placed directly on the dough before tomato sauce is added on top.
The town's announcement did not provide a specific opening date.
Additional details are expected as the restaurant gets closer to opening.
Dime Pizza has also established an Instagram account at @dime.pizza, where customers can follow future announcements.
